Confectionery Bakery Factory "San" Pajda Sp. z o.o.

HISTORY

The “San” Pajda Confectionery Bakery Factory, located on Blichowa Street in Jarosław, continues the traditions of this historic site. Before World War II, this location was known for producing hardtack for the Polish Army. As a military facility, the factory was bombed and destroyed during the war.

After the war, the factory was rebuilt and incorporated into the “San Jarosław” Confectionery Industry Complex. Over the years, the company underwent various ownership changes: initially as “San Jarosław” Confectionery Industry, later as “United Biscuits Poland,” and subsequently as “LU” (a biscuit division of the Danone consortium). Ultimately, in 2003, after acquiring the facility from Danone, it became part of our family-owned business.

For many years, the primary product has been LADY FINGERS biscuits. These biscuits have made us the national leader in the sale of this type of product. Their traditional, natural, 19th-century recipe is still used today. Lady Fingers biscuits are supplied not only to domestic and European markets but also to consumers in the USA, Canada, and the Middle East.

development directions

In addition to traditional production, the company’s new vision focuses on manufacturing health-promoting products. We place particular emphasis on functional foods, whose positive impact on health has been well-documented through scientific and laboratory research.

We have introduced BIO Lady Fingers biscuits, which hold the EU organic certification. Another innovation includes Lady Fingers biscuits and Biscuit Cookies with high fiber content (over 6% fiber in the product composition). These products meet all the guidelines established by, among others, the Ministry of Health regarding standards for gastrointestinal diseases.

For our partners in Austria, Germany, and Poland, we produce gluten-free products. Every batch of these products is tested in an international laboratory to confirm their safe composition for individuals on gluten-free diets.

To meet the expectations of our customers, we are investing in the development and implementation of new products. A prime example is our meringue products, which enjoy great popularity.

Thanks to EU funds, we have been investing for several years in new machinery to streamline the production process and ensure the highest possible quality of our products. This commitment is evidenced by the PN-EN ISO 22000:2018 certification.
